The Osborne Refrigerators Shetland Pony Grand National

The venue is London and the ponies are only 40" high but the competition ill be just as fierce as at Aintree for this the Lilliputian Blue Riband of steeplechasing. The racing is fast, furious and fun and the riders are as dedicated as any professional jockey would be.

Since its inception this yearly series of races, which culminates at Olympia, has raised £350,000 for charity. This year the chosen charity is Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Jockeys secure their places in this prestigious Olympia final through a series of heats at venues across the British Isles throughout the year.
